I had a browse on their website and I was so impressed with the variety of fabulous artwork they offered. So I decided to pick a landscape painting: Reflections on the Gold Coast by Robin Wethe Altman, for my living room. This painting reflects ships floating on the sea on a sunny afternoon on the Gold Coast when the water is still and the ocean quiet.

Winnie’s Picks is located in Brussels, Belgium and all their regular kits are shipped from San Bernardino, California. The good news is they do ship to the UK, US, Canada, Australia and Europe though. I am also pleased to tell my readers that there is a chance to win a Paint By Numbers kit, so please read on! Within a week of ordering, I received a high-quality linen canvas that was rolled in a strong tube, along with a set of acrylic paint sets and a set of four brushes.

I am not a fan of painting or drawing and had not painted many pictures in my life except to help the kids to do colouring! This was my first time and I was a bit lost when I received the kit. Luckily, they also enclosed some instructions to start me off! Initially, I thought I could finish this painting in about three days, but I was so wrong! There are so many details on this drawing and after painting it, the picture does come to life! I was quite shocked with the finished result.

This painting is not the easiest to start with as there are so many little details of different colour tones on the reflection of the water. This painting took me nearly a week to finish and the result was astonishing! I am very well impressed. Of course, there were difficult parts, especially some areas have tiny dots with tiny numbers and so I accidentally painted over some numbers. I did struggle to see some of the numbers and good lighting will definitely help or you can also use the replica of the painting in A3 size paper to check/reconfirm the numbers!

This painting measures 40 cm by 50 cm and I decided to frame it inside my old photo frame, and it works perfectly. I love this top-notch kit. It comprises everything you need for your painting so all you need is a cup of water and paper towels. I would recommend this Paint By Numbers by Winnie’s Picks to anyone who wants to try new skills or is looking for a relaxing hobby!
