This August, Funko and Marvel have teamed up to launch a brand new first-of-a-kind toy collectable tabletop gaming system called Marvel Battleworld: Mystery of The Thanostones. It allows you to collect all exclusive Marvel Heroes and invites you and your family to play in a whole new way!
There are a total of 30 hero figurines and 60 battles to collect. We are so thrilled to receive a Marvel Battleworld Mega Pack and two Battle Balls that are jam-packed with mysterious surprises, collectable characters, battle cards, hero cards and die!
First, let’s take a look at this Marvel Battleworld Mega Pack Series 1 that comes with an exclusive negative zone Spider-Man. Inside this pack, it comes with a Spider-Man figure plus three hero figurines hidden inside the packaging, two Thanostones (to be played in the game – to crack open to rescue), 13 battle cards, six hero cards with six holders, 13 danger tokens, one danger coin, die and instructions.
Next, we have the surprise Battle Balls which contain a surprise assortment, including two collectable Marvel characters, hero cards, battle cards, five danger tokens, one danger coin, die and instructions. When you open the Battle Balls, both half of the balls will turn into a holder to hold your hero and a slot for your hero card. You don’t need to buy the Mega Pack in order to play the game. This surprise ball will also contain a game element!
As I mentioned earlier, these collectable figurines also turn into a game. You can play up to four players and it is suitable for aged six onwards. The rules are quite straightforward. You need to win three battles to win the game. However, if you lose three battles, your heroes are defeated.

This is a fun collectable and nice game for any children and Marvel fans. It is a hit in this household! Mr K enjoys playing it. Also, we managed to collect an ultra-rare Black Panther (Infinity) figurine! Once the Thanostone is revealed (hero rescued), the fun doesn’t have to stop there! You can still continue to play, but it won’t be as interesting as before (able to break the Thanostone). The figurines are well made and each comes with a holder which enables you to display neatly on your shelves. It is available now to purchase in Tesco, Smyths Toys Superstores and Asda.
So, are you ready to take on the epic battle against Thanos? Let the fun begin!
