Hotter Shoes Gravity Review

6 March 2020 by Eileen Leave a Comment

Getting the right pair of shoes is one of the most important things to start any journey! Recently, I had to make an unexpected trip with my daughter, and luckily I have received this pair of Hotter Shoes – Gravity, just in time to start our long journey to Singapore! I am a big Hotter shoe fan as I have already owned many pairs of their shoes. Also, I have always been aware that Hotter make really comfy and durable shoes.

I know coronavirus is a big thing in Asia right now but this hasn’t put us off from travelling. As long as we look after ourselves, keep good hygiene and avoid crowded areas, we hope we can avoid it. Please read The Brick Castle on how to reduce your risk of getting coronavirus infection.

Although I’m Singaporean-born and grew up there, I have never set foot in Raffles Hotel before. As a resident there, you don’t normally hang out in hotels nor visit tourist areas. Also, I was still only a young adult when I left Singapore for the UK. Hence I have not tried the original Singapore Sling, which was first created in 1915 by Raffles bartender Ngiam Tong Boon. Singapore Sling is primarily a gin-based cocktail and it also contains pineapple juice, lime juice, curaçao and Bénédictine.

Anyway, my sister decided to treat us to have lunch at the 藝 yì by Jereme Leung restaurant based in Raffles hotel. The word 藝 yì stands for art in the Chinese language and it is to awaken your appetite and senses. This is a fine art of Chinese dining that Jereme will be using single sourced and seasonal ingredients with a contemporary approach to deliver refinement and sincerity.

I love the look of my shoes and the colour red is very vibrant. It comes in a range of colours for standard fit range and from sizes 3 to 9. It feels like I’m wearing a lightweight pair of sneakers without looking like a tourist. The shoes are well-cushioned to the collar and tongue. The cushion on the collar was slightly stiff when I first wore them to London Heathrow airport, but after a couple of hours, they felt very comfortable. The sturdy ridged sole is made from durable and lightweight polyurethane for that essential bounce and flex. It has a sporty mesh lining and a cushioned insole.

I opted for the standard fit in size 8, which I think is true to size. There is a little room for my toes to wiggle and they fit nicely on my feet. I love that the sole is ultra-lightweight and flexes with every step you take. Even though they are so light, there is no discomfort on my soles when walking through stones and uneven ground. The secret of the soles is that they are filled with millions of air bubbles that help to take the pressure off your feet. I love the style of these shoes and enjoy walking in them. They are lightweight, flexible and breathable.
