Fun Ways to Use Wall Stickers at Home

20 February 2020 by Eileen Leave a Comment

Wall stickers are an awesome way to change a room without having to redecorate completely, paint, or strip wallpaper. They are an easy and cost-effective way to add something extra to your rooms without having to commit large amounts of money or time. Wall stickers are the perfect choice for renters who want to make a home their own but might not be able to make huge choices. They are great in kids’ rooms, to add some fun, without making big changes that they might grow out of in a few months, and they are a perfect way to put your own stamp on your house.

Fun Ways to Use Wall Stickers at Home

Wall stickers from aspectwallart.com are a great way to change your decor, make your mark, and add some luxury to your home without making significant and often costly changes. Here are just a few of the fun ways that you could incorporate them into your decor.

Create a Fun Kids Room

Wall stickers can be the perfect choice in a children’s bedroom, and this is one of their most common uses. Add wall stickers to create a theme if your child has a particular hobby or interest. You could use them to turn their room into a pirate ship, a jungle, a dinosaur land, a spaceship, a fairy garden, or a princess castle, either with large, bold additions or more subtle touches. All easy to remove or replace when your kids tastes change, they want something new, or they grow out of their childhood room. Certainly ideal if you rent, and you might not live in the same house for years and years.

Many parents also enjoy the idea of a stuck on wall chart to mark height as they grow up. It can be an easy way to chart milestones and is easy to remove once your child has outgrown it.

Add Something Extra To Your Bathroom

Bathrooms are another great place to add wall stickers as they stick easily to tiles and last relatively well in a damp atmosphere. Use stickers to cheer up dated tiles and walls, or to create a theme in your bathroom.

Cheer Up Smaller Rooms

It’s hard to know what to do with smaller rooms. You don’t want to add too many different colours or textures in fear of them becoming closed in and claustrophobic, but nor do you want to be stuck with a dull half-empty room that serves no purpose. Wall stickers are a great way to cheer them up without taking up any extra space or bringing the walls in. Use cheerful stickers on bright walls to make small rooms feel more open and spacious. Then add mirrors and bright lighting choices to give the impression of more space.

Turn Your View into a Picture

If you’ve got a gorgeous view that you love staring out at, why not add stickers to your windows to create a frame? Steal the view, turning it into a work of art hanging in your home.

Have Fun with Nature

If you’d love to bring more of the outdoors in, but don’t feel comfortable with large plants and other greenery, stickers are a fantastic way to fake it. Add stickers of plants, trees, and shrubs, but also of animals like birds, beautiful butterflies, and delicate fish. Give the impression of nature and natural elements, without any of the hard work that goes with looking after the real thing. This can make your home feel more fun, brighter, and far more cheerful.

Add Easy Colour to Boring Spaces

If you’ve got a boring room that you just don’t know what to do with, it’s got dull walls and feels dark and dismal, add some stickers for an easy pop of colour. You don’t have to commit to a theme or colour scheme. You can spend time experimenting with stickers in different areas for easy splashes of colour that you aren’t committed to.

Stickers can be a wonderful way to be bold and to try things that you wouldn’t usually, without any of the risks of being stuck with something that you regret long-term. You can change them quickly, and use them to try new things.

Add Stickers to Cupboards and Drawers

Stickers don’t just go on walls, or large surfaces such as windows. You can also use them on cupboards, drawers, wardrobes, and other doors. Adding stickers, and maybe a coat of paint can be a wonderful way to upcycle an old piece of furniture, giving it a fresh lease of life, saving you money on costly replacements or upgrades.
