This coming half term, you have more reasons to stay at home, not only to avoid the horrible storm and floods, but also to spend quality time with your family to watch this Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil film, which was released in late 2019. The great news is that this film is available to buy now on digital, DVD and Blu-Ray™ in many good retailers and online.
This is the sequel of the global box office hit Maleficent film which was first released in 2014. In this sequel, Maleficent travels to a grand old castle to celebrate her goddaughter Aurora’s upcoming wedding to Prince Phillip. There she meets Aurora’s future mother-in-law, a conniving queen, who hatches an evil plot to destroy the land’s fairies. Hoping to stop her, Maleficent joins forces with a seasoned warrior and a group of outcasts to battle the queen and her powerful army.
To celebrate the release of Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, we were gifted an ultimate Maleficent gift pack filled with a selection of Maleficent goodies to help us regain the peace between Ulstead and the Moors. This gift includes a copy of the Blu-Ray™, a Maleficent Funko Doll, a Maleficent notebook, a Maleficent toto bag, green tea and a personalised ‘Don’t ruin my morning’ Maleficent mug!
The story is a lot darker and sinister, but I love how Maleficent is being portrayed from her perspective. Angelina Jolie took on the role really well and the same goes for Michelle Pfeiffer. The fighting scenes and CGI were of top quality. We adults enjoyed this movie and I do think this film is not so much for younger children but much older children. They will enjoy it more and will love the storyline.
This bonus features on the Blu-Ray™ also come with these extras:
- Origins of the Fey
- Aurora’s Wedding
- If You Had Wings
- Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil VFX Reel
- Extended Scenes – The Queen Comforts Aurora
- Extended Scenes – Philip And Aurora Dance
- Outtakes
- “You Can’t Stop The Girl” Performed by Bebe Rexha
