One Key is a co-operative game where players work as a team to eliminate the key cards by the association of ideas and deduction to find the one and only Key! This game is best played with the free app with a three-minute timer and background music to add tension to your games. This game is suitable for two to eight players and it makes a great party game as it’s fun to play together! It is suitable for aged eight and above.
Setting up this game is straightforward and it’s best to play on a big dining table or floor as there will be lots of cards distributed around the table. Pick one player to be the leader and he/she has to randomly draw 11 cards. The leader then has to pick a Key card in his/her mind (input the card number on the app and click through). Place all 11 cards in front of the Clue Area screen. Then the leader has to pick a card from the pile of draw cards and let the other players know if this card has any association with the Key. He/she will do this by placing the card to the red (weak or no association), yellow (some association) or green (strong association) clue areas!
With good team-play, the other players remove the wrong cards, step by step, until the Key is all that remains. Removing the Key results in instant defeat for all players, so be careful!
One Key is a brand new game that has just arrived early this year. It is a straightforward game to play. We do find it very challenging with all the guesswork and fun to play. I love that this game is not an individual game that working together enables us to be able to problem-solve and strategise together. It is available to buy from good retailers or Amazon.
