Maqio Boxes – Your Storage Solution

8 December 2018 by Eileen

As we are running towards the festive season, the number of presents our children will be receiving can easily overrun our living space. Now thanks to these cute and affordable Maqio boxes, we can keep everything organised and our children’s bedrooms neat and tidy. Unsurprisingly, my children can generate a lot of mess, especially Ms C! She has so many small collectables that always clutter the floor!

Maqio Boxes review

Recently, I came across a great new low-cost toy e-commerce store call Maqio. Their journey began in 2010 when they began selling online. Their business has grown rapidly and the development of the company didn’t go unnoticed by the industry, and they were placed in the top three for the Fastest Growing Companies in the Greater Manchester Small Business category. Not only do they sell official branded and best-selling toys and games, but they also design and develop their own ‘Maqio Boxes’ in a lot of different designs/sizes.

We were delighted to receive them, especially in the new year, we will be updating their rooms and these storage boxes are the perfect solution to keep things organised and well presented. I really dislike those plain boring transparent plastic boxes which show the clutter of toys.

Currently, they stock four different sets of In-Mould Labelling (IML) print Maqio boxes in different prints. These are a 22 litre Stockholm storage, a set of 4 decorative boxes (1.5l, 5l, 10l & 22l), 50 litre decorative box and a set of 5 Stockholm storages (2.5l, 5l, 10l, 25l & 50l). There is also an IML print waste bin. All their Maqio boxes have a unique selling point which is their IML print. This process fuses the polypropylene labels with the box during the curing process. The result is a beautiful design where box and label become one. There is no peeling like you might find with boxes with stickers/transfers!
Maqio Boxes 22 litre

First, I have this beautiful London print 22 litre Stockholm storage. I love the print and I can tell that it was very well designed and printed. The image quality should last for a long time! There are a total of 12 designs to choose from. The box is lightweight and comes with handles on the side. The lid is flat and easy to stack.

Next, this set of 4 decorative boxes with 8 different designs to choose from. I have picked the Cats design. How can you not love these cute kitty cat print boxes! I love that each box has its own design and the theme just carries on throughout the set! You can store biscuits or badges in this 1.5 litre circular box. Snacks or toys for the rest of the boxes. The 22 litre box comes with handles on the side.

Maqio Boxes 50 litre

This 50 litre decorative box is big enough to store all shapes and sizes of toys or clothing. The box is fitted with mini wheels which is ideal for ease of movement on hard surfaces. Due to the materials, I would not put really heavy items in this box, like dumbbells or heavy books. It is more suitable for bulky and lightweight items like clothing. Also, if it is too heavy, it wouldn’t be easy to move/push around.  It comes in two designs.

The set of 5 Stockholm storages only comes in two designs, which are the animals and zoo. I opted for the zoo design. The design on the boxes and lids have the same print. Again the 50 litre box comes with mini wheels. The boxes can be stackable as shown.

Maqio Boxes waste bin

Lastly, we have this Chemistry print waste bin which also comes in dinosaur print. This is a lightweight plastic bin that will make a statement in any room.

These cleverly printed boxes look great and would definitely go well in any room. I love the print and the usability of these storage boxes. In my video, you can check out how it looks inside and out! They are now available to buy from Maqio at a very affordable price.  Currently, there is a 10% site-wide sale until 20th December 2018, so it’s great for last minute Christmas presents.  They are your perfect storage solutions to de-clutter your home to get ready for the New Year! https://youtu.be/hKIr0CTu8Xo

Do give them a follow and check them out on their social media accounts: Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!
