Amazing Space is a brand new children’s science book that takes you on a mind-stretching journey from the Earth across the Universe. It will be available to buy from 9th August 2018 onwards from Carlton Books, good book retailers and Amazon.
Amazing Space is crammed with beautifully illustrated, infographics explaining facts and statistics about the universe and many more. It covers the journey into space, from the Earth’s surface to the edge of the Universe and back to the Earth.
Mr K always loves to learn about the solar system and already owns many books revolving around science and astronomy. This book has captivated him and he enjoys reading it. He has been excited to tell us about the facts that he has learnt and at the same time, test my knowledge which I have failed miserably! I think that I need to read this book too!
The book is very easy to read and understand for older children with a total of 48 pages. As I page through it, I love reading about the timeline of space exploration. Some of the key events since 1957 include sending the first artificial satellite into space, followed by the first live dog Laika! After that, the first woman sent into space was Valentina Tereshkova. Then let us fast forward to 2019, when they are planning to launch the James Webb Space Telescope as a follow up to the Hubble Space Telescope! Watch this space! They are also planning more missions in space for the next 10 years! Want to know what they are planning? Then check out the book for more information! Children will be fascinated with the information! This is a lovely book for children who loves space and a great book to enrich their knowledge!
