The Emoji Movie Review

4 December 2017 by Eileen

The Emoji Movie is out now to buy from all good DVD retailers and Amazon on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download. The Emoji Movie is a 2017 American 3D computer-animated science fiction-comedy film based on the trend of emojis.

The Emoji Movie Review

We were so excited to be invited to join in the The Emoji Movie watch-along Twitter party along with other bloggers where we chat about our thoughts on the film. Did you join in with us yesterday 3rd December at 6pm?

Thanks to Sony Pictures Animation for these goodies to enable us to join in: The Emoji Movie DVD with digital download, headphones, pair of Socks, plush toy, cap, colouring book, ball and sweets!

Have you wondered about the secret world inside your smartphone? This film takes you into an adventure to Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favourite emojis live. In this world, each Emoji has only one facial expression – except for Gene, who is bursting with multiple expressions. Gene lives in a teenager’s phone, and who sets out on a journey to become a normal meh emoji like his parents. He enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 and the notorious code breaker Jailbreak. Together, these unlikely heroes embark on an epic “app-venture” through the apps on the phone, each its own wild and fun world, to find the code that will fix Gene.

Both of my children had watched this film while they were on holiday in Singapore and they both loved it. My husband and I hadn’t watched it so we were very pleased to be able to catch up. The film is very entertaining and fun to watch. I love how they have a lot of funny moments/jokes interspersed through the film. I would recommend it!

The DVD also includes Hotel Transylvania Short “Puppy”, Good Vibrations Dance Along & Lyric Video, Express Yourself: Meet The Cast, Girls Can Code, Jailbreak Decoded: The Untold Story, How To Draw Gene & Poop and more!
