This was the first time I’d heard of Pixers and I was immediately impressed with the choices they have! There are so many styles: Scandinavian, Contemporary, Futuristic, Minimalist, Industrial, Vintage, Retro and many more!
Over the years, my children have been sticking stickers all over the wardrobe. When it came time to remove them, the stickers have ruined the top layer of the door, leaving the door looking very yellow and of course, full of sticky bits. I was so disappointed that no matter how I cleaned it, I could not remove the stains without ruining it further. So I was super excited when I saw that they sell stickers for wardrobe.
After looking through the website, I went for the Travel the World Monuments Concept as wardrobe stickers. I ordered 250 cm by 201cm. It is only after I placed the order, I realised I should have opted for slightly wider so that I will have room to manoeuvre! So if you are placing your order, you might want to take this into consideration. When I received the stickers, they are slightly wider than the order size which worked okay for me!
The stickers arrived in a long rectangle box with the rest of the items I had ordered. It was very well packed. The stickers came in two parts of 125 cm by 201 cm. Hence it means one of my wardrobe door would have a half and half. Again, when you order this, you might want to think if you would like it come in a whole poster or just the exact size.
After taking down the door and handle, I placed the door on the sticker and started to draw a line. I did use a pen knife but I found wallpaper scissors to be better for this job! The next task was to stick the sticker on the door. It was very challenging! Luckily the sticker is very well made and I was able to remove it again and again to ensure it was stuck in the right position. It was quite difficult for the first time around! The first door probably took me an hour to get it on! After that, it only take me 15 minutes for each door. Another challenging part was to stick the half and half stickers onto one door. Trying to get the picture to align was really hard. Using masking tape to hold the sticker in position helped though.
After placing the wardrobe stickers, the wardrobe looks brand new! I was very impressed with the picture quality and the stickers. They are so durable that I was able to stick it again and again. The picture is ace too! It is very detailed and the colours look great! I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
