Power Rippers Competition Set Review

10 October 2017 by Eileen 1 Comment

Power Rippers are the perfect fusion of vehicles, battle tops and action figures in one! They are fast and furious, great fun and collectable action toys!

power rippers review

We first saw this at our local The Entertainer Power Rippers demonstration day and both of my children fell in love with it! They couldn’t wait to play it again. They were so excited when they saw this 2 in 1 Competition set that comes with an exclusive Robotix range – Speed Lightning.

This 2 in 1 Competition set doubles as a carrying case to a battle arena and track set. The track set features 2 lanes for side-by-side racing, plus 2 loops and a jump at the end for the ultimate finale! Then you can rip them up for 360° Spin Battles in the Battle Arena.

Inside this set, it comes with an exclusive Power Ripper & rip cord, 15 tracks, 4 loop base, 18 track connectors, 2 loop support and instructions.

Fixing the track will require adult help. It is easy to slot in the connectors to the track but I do find it quite hard to get the tracks connect properly to the base. I have had to re-clip it on a number of occasions around the base. This set will also require plenty of floor space to place the track. Once it is set up, you are ready to race or battle! You do need to purchase more Power Rippers to battle as there is only one Power Ripper in this set.

There are 16 Power Rippers to collect in wave 1 and so many exciting characters to choose from including robots, military, sharks and insects. We have also received the single pack and 2-pack to start our collection. Each Power Ripper transforms and is armed with either teeth, stingers, a battering ram or saw blades. We do find that some Power Rippers are easier than others to click the flaps back to transform into a battle ball. Some of them require may need adult help. They are well made though, colourful and each have their own characteristics. They gather blazing speeds of up to 500 scale mph by pulling the rip cord out quickly! Do be careful while using it!

In this video, Mr K shows you this Competition set and how he battles his Power Rippers:

Both of my children had so much fun playing with Power Rippers. It is one of those games that both of them can happily play together. It is available to buy in good toy retailers and Amazon.

Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
