Pokémon Center in Osaka

15 August 2017 by Eileen

One of the things to do with children in Osaka has to be a visit to the Pokémon Center! Both of my children love Pokémon and this was their top thing to do when we planned our holiday in Japan. This center, in fact, is a department store selling all the Pokémon items like soft toys, trading cards, shoes, clothing and many more. Just remember to bring lots of money if you’ve got big fans of Pokémon as it can get very expensive!

This center is located inside the shopping mall, Daimaru Umeda level 13 and is not too difficult to find. It is not very big but it sells a lot of Pokémon merchandise!

My kids were overwhelmed by all the Pokémon stuff and within minutes things started flying off the shelves into the shopping basket! We went on Sunday morning and it was so packed! It was hard to just walk around and the queue was massive. Luckily their staff were very efficient and we didn’t have to queue for too long!

Ms C has been spotting a lot of Pokémon characters and took a lot of photos with them. She was so pleased with it!

There were also stalls for children to participate to win toys at a price of 300 yen. We first went to the throwing station where the highest scores will win the top prize. Mr K managed to score over 23 points to win the soft toy!

Later, we went to a different stall to play the game. Again, Mr K managed to score 4 out of 4 to win the top prize.

There are also stalls to play the Pokémon games and Virtual Reality which we didn’t participate as we didn’t understand the Japanese. They both had a great time spending at least an hour there checking everything out!

Later, we went for yummy delicious!
