Enjoy the Bank Holiday with a Motorhome Holiday

4 May 2017 by Eileen

Bank holidays present the perfect opportunity to go somewhere new for a few days and escape your usual routine. With the extra day off, you can get involved in the great British staycation and enjoy a destination that you haven’t visited before. As tourism boards across the UK are reporting a record-breaking amount of bookings around the country, it might be time to explore what’s on your own doorstep instead of jetting off to more exotic climates.

Allowing you to enjoy the long weekend without any stressful travel plans, going away in your very own motorhome might be the solution to this year’s bank holiday getaway. As the staycation continues to remain popular, you have a number of breath-taking destinations to choose from right here in the UK. So, jump in your motorhome, turn the Sat Nav on and start exploring!

Enjoy the Bank Holiday with a Motorhome Holiday

Travel with ease

We jump at the chance for a long weekend and avoiding the dreaded Monday blues, so a bank holiday is the perfect excuse to do something a little different and exciting! After all, no one wants to spend their weekend catching up chores or tidying the house. With 2 bank holidays coming up in May, and the much-anticipated August bank holiday, it’s the season for treating yourself to a break.

Travelling to new destinations in a motorhome is one of the easiest ways to tick places off your list. With no restrictions on scheduled journeys and not having to search for deals on hotels, you have your home away from home to make the most of! From the highlands of Scotland to the beaches in Cornwall, the UK is diverse and your motorhome enables you to see it all at your own pace.

Travelling in the luxury of a modern motorhome, you can take in the sights of your home country and see things you would never normally bother with; but since it’s a bank holiday, why not make the effort to see the Lake District, or historical areas such as Stratford-upon-Avon? Jumping in your motorhome and taking off whenever it suits you, you can enjoy quality time with your family and take a well-earned break.

Luxury home away from home

Travelling in your motorhome is not only incredibly convenient, but can also include all your home comforts so that you can enjoy a luxurious trip each and every time you go away. Whether you’re travelling with teens who have their eyes glued to their phones, or the extended family are joining you, there’s something to accommodate everyone when it comes to travelling in a motorhome.

Relaxing in the evenings and exploring in the daytime, a motorhome holiday can transport you to an environment of peace and quiet. When you’ve only got a few days to play with, you want to feel settled before you’ve even arrived; with a motorhome, that’s never been easier.

So, where to explore? Some of the most popular destinations in the UK include Edinburgh, Windermere, York and Bath but that’s only a tiny percentage of what our country has to offer!

We have a caravan and it’s amazing. We can visit so many wonderful places without a lot of hassle, especially as we can take the dog with us.
