Questions to Ask your Children Activity

6 January 2017 by Eileen Leave a Comment

If you are looking for something to do with your children this weekend, then you should click this printable ‘20 questions to ask your children’ worksheet to get to know them more! This was put together by Shepherds Friendly Society after seeing many parents asking their children 20 questions about and then posting the answers to social media. The replies are often very fun and crazy!

Questions to Ask your Children Activity

I love this worksheet, as it’s also a nice “cheat-sheet” of nice questions to ask your children. The worksheet is also a great keepsake to remind yourself of the little things your children say and do which get forgotten over time. And you could simply reuse these questions to ask your children every year and see how they differ year-on-year. This is such a great way to bond with them too!

Here are the answers to the list of 20 Questions To Ask Your Children, which I recorded recently.

1. What is your favourite colour?
Mr K: Turquoise because blue and green are my favourite and when they combine, it is turquoise colour.
Ms C: Rainbow!
2. Who is your best friend?
Mr K: Rufus as we have been together since nursery.
Ms C: Evie (they’ve been together since aged three).
3. What is your favourite TV programme?
Mr K & Ms C: Pokemon!
4. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Mr K: An Olympic Badminton player.
Ms C: I don’t know and don’t want to be anything right now.
5. What car do you want to have when you grow up?
Mr K: Koenigsegg 1
Ms C: Same as Mr K.
6. If you could go anywhere in the world on holiday, where would you go?
Mr K: Japan because they have epic games.
Ms C: Singapore, where mum is from.
7. Do you want to get married one day?
Mr K: Yes.
Ms C: No.
8. How many children would you like?
Mr K & Ms C: Two children (one girl and one boy)
9. What age are you when you become an adult?
Mr K: 20
Ms C: 20
10. What are you good at?
Mr K: Playing computer games.
Ms C: Nothing.
11. If you had a superpower, what would it be?
Mr K: Faster than light.
Ms C: Speediness.
12. If you had one wish, what would it be?
Mr K: That I have more wishes.
Ms C: Pokemon would be real.
13. What do I do as a job?
Mr K: Vlogger.
Ms C: Blogger.
14. What are you scared of?
Mr K: Dark and death in family.
Ms C: Snake, spider and dark.
15. What is your favourite song?
Mr K: Turbo songs (from cartoon).
Ms C: Pokemon songs
16. What is your favourite class at school?
Mr K: I love PE, Maths and ICT.
Ms C: I love Maths and ICT.
17. What is something I always say to you?
Mr K: I love you.
Ms C: I’m home.
18. What is the hardest thing you’ve ever had to do?
Mr K: Lifting a dumbbell.
Ms C: Carry friends around as they are too heavy.
19. What makes you happy?
Mr K: Doing activities.
Ms C: Everything except things I’m scared of.
20. What makes you sad?
Mr K: My parents dying.
Ms C: When friends don’t play with me.

Both of my children enjoyed answering these questions and inevitably they always give me the shortest answers. At the moment, they are still catching up with all the Pokemon fever and all they talk or play are just Pokemon. It does drive me crazy at times but this is something both of them enjoy and play nicely together. I am looking forward to asking them the same questions in a year’s time to see if there any changes.
