Poki Games Review

24 November 2016 by Eileen

Recently, we came across Poki games who are a cross-device game publisher.  They host more than 20,000 free online games that you can play on your mobile, tablet or desktop.  It is the perfect playground for children of all ages to visit anytime anywhere!  Mobile games are available through Google Play and the Apple App Store for Android and iOS devices respectively.

It is an especially useful site for us as we like to travel and we regularly look for ways to entertain our children. They often get bored very quickly but with this site, they have so many games to choose from!  They don’t just have regular games though – they also have a range of educational games like Matt vs Math, Fast Typer 2, Geography Game Europe etc.  My son loves the Zombie Typocalypse game!  This game is all about typing the words quickly before the zombie comes to attack.  As for me, I like the Excuses Excuses game where I tried my very best to type as fast as I can!  What a great way to practise spelling!

This personalized discovery platform hand-picks new games for you daily, so you are guaranteed the best titles and the most fun! You will never be bored, because they will give you personalized recommendations based on what games you have liked. Their clever algorithms will make sure that you never miss the latest maths educational games, if you love maths, and will always see the best racing games, if you are into cars.  All of their games are cross-device playable, so you can enjoy them everywhere!

Their most popular categories include cooking games, soccer games, and dress-up games, as well as games based on your favourite movies or TV shows, like Finding Dory games, Inside Out games, and two player games. In their large collection of games, you can also find classic titles, including Mahjong, Bubble Shooter, and Bejeweled, as well as new games, such as Agario, Uphill Rush 7, and Grindcraft.  You can play games in 3D, super-fun arcade games, and many of the popular puzzle games!

The site is easy to navigate and there is no registration required but you will need WiFi or data to play the game.  It is a safe website to use and it does contain advertisements from companies like Disney, Mattel and Lego.  Also they ensure all their advertisements are appropriate for children to view.  Do check out Poki games with your children!
