Disney Moana at Specsavers

5 November 2016 by Eileen

Did you know that Specsavers have launched a new range of Disney Moana children’s glasses across the country? They are available now and the collection includes four different frames to choose from in vibrant colours and patterns of the South Pacific, all featuring the spirited adventurer herself, Moana.

Disney Moana film is an upcoming 2016 American 3D computer-animated musical fantasy comedy adventure film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and it will be releasing in December.  We can’t wait to watch it with Ms C.  She loves Disney films and this is about young princess of the tribe, Moana from Motunui Island.  She is a born navigator who sets sail in search of a fabled island of mysterious secrets.  During her journey, she teams up with her hero and legendary demigod Maui.

Ms C has been wearing glasses since she was three years old and we have been a Specsavers customer since. Not only do they have plenty of Disney Princess’s glasses to choose from, they also offer an additional free pair of frames in the Specsavers’ kids get two free pairs offer.  It’s great to know that if anything was to happen to Ms C’s glasses, that we will have a spare to use while waiting for it to be repaired.

Last week, we went into the shop to get the glasses for Ms C and she picked the shiny green frame in acetate plastic and a burgundy frame in stainless steel.  Each store holds two sets of each frame, hence it is always best to check if they have it in store or they could order it beforehand.

The glasses are priced at £64 and are free for under-16s with an NHS optical voucher. For all their Moana frames, they come with single-vision lenses including UV filter, a scratch resistant treatment, case and cloth.  At Specsavers all under-16s get a free NHS eye test.  Ms C didn’t do an eye test as she is under hospital care.

All glasses in Specsavers’ kids’ £64 and teens’ £85 ranges are free with under-16s’ NHS funding. Specs wearers can also choose a second pair from the £64 or £85 range, free. Both pairs can come with SuperTough Trivex® single vision lenses with a scratch-resistant treatment, or tinted prescription lenses and a UV filter free in the second pair.  For more information visit www.specsavers.co.uk/offers.

We had our appointment on Thursday and was able to collect the glasses on Saturday the same week.  We are very pleased with the efficiency and the friendly and helpful staff.

Ms C has this shiny green frame in acetate plastic with flower patterns!  It is lightweight and fits her very well.

Next, she has this burgundy frame in stainless steel with Moana herself smiles out against the funky tribal print on the sides of the frame.  Both the frames and lenses are very lightweight and the frames sit well on her. She did had a few adjustment on the frames and she was checked by two members of staff.  She is really happy with her new glasses!

There are currently more than 1,200 partners in the UK and Republic of Ireland alone. Do look out for all frames at a Specsavers store near you!
