Many of you will know that Ravensburger make all sorts of awesome puzzles and now they are releasing this Funky Owl range of 3D Puzzles that are suitable for girls from 7+. The range consists of a 3D Puzzle Vanity Box, Pencil/Make Up Brush Holder, Jewellery Tree and Vase.
In this household, we all love a good puzzle especially a 3D version! When we first saw this range, we were very excited that this is not only a puzzle but they are functional and useful too. The four great designs will handy for storage and will provide a unique way to enhance a room. Ms C loves the beautiful pictures of the cute and adorable owl!
Firstly, let’s take a look at the Pencil Holder that is suitable for aged 7+ and contains 54 pieces of puzzle, two plastic rings and a piece of cardboard. This is quite easy to start with for Ms C who is aged 7. The puzzle is easy to fix together as the pieces are clearly labelled with the arrow at the back which makes it easy to navigate. Once the cylinder is formed, place it on the plastic ring with the cardboard inside the puzzle.
Next is the Jewellery Tree which is suitable for aged 8 and above. This set contains 108 pieces with the frame for the tree. Mr K had a try at piecing the puzzle together but required a little help from an adult. The puzzle is divided into six different parts that fix together. Firstly, we sorted out the numbers of each piece before we started piecing them together. Once the picture is formed, we slid the tree frame and hooks together. Placing them together required plenty of adult help. Once done, the Jewellery Tree looks really beautiful. There are eight hooks and plenty of space to display your children’s accessories. The tree measures 35.6cm by 17 cm by 12.5cm.
The Vanity Box is suitable for aged 9 and above which comes with a tray. Ms C was particularly eager to make this as she loves the box which enables her to place all her girly accessories in! This puzzle comes with 216 pieces and took both of us 20 minutes to fix it together. The first few numbers were not printed on the back of the pieces which hindered us a little. I did proceed with other numbers first to get it going. This puzzle is quite challenging especially around the corner where you have to bend the puzzle. Once it is done, simply slot the puzzle into the plastic frame with the coloured cardboard provided. This action required help from an adult. This box measures 23cm by 16cm by 13cm.
Lastly is the Vase which is suitable for aged 9 and above with 216 pieces. This beautiful vase comes with a plastic pot holder which allow you to put water for your flower. To piece this puzzle, it requires you to use the plastic ring to start the puzzle. Each piece is easy to place. Ms C had fun putting them together. Once the puzzle is formed, the vase stands 24 cm tall! I love that you can actually put fresh flowers in it. The plastic pot holder is easy to slot into the vase.
Overall I love that these puzzles are made with good plastic material with a great design. The whole range is sturdy and functional. Ms C loves these and has been using it since. I would recommend them to anyone as it is affordable and it provided us lots of quality family time too!
