Imaginext Superflight City Review

11 September 2016 by Eileen

DC Super Friends Superflight City is a brand new action packed playset from the Imaginext range, in which Batman really flies! This awesome Batman Playset is suitable for aged three to eight and is available to buy now. It requires a total of six AA batteries to run the Superflight: two batteries for the tower and four for the flight tower.

This playset is Batman’s Wayne Tower hence there is a big ‘W’ on the balcony.  The figurine of Batman with a cloth cape and Joker are included in the set. The tower comes whole and there are six discs (3 blue and 3 green) included. The only item that requires assembly is the flight tower which is fixed by using a Philips screwdriver.  It also comes with a spare copter blade.  It didn’t take me long to fix it together.  Once the batteries are placed into the flight tower arm, turning on the switch lights up the ready light on the copter backpack.

This tower divided into three stories. On the first floor, there are doors for Batman or Joker to hide. It also comes with a lift which transports the characters onto the second floor.  The lift also be used to launch the discs to shoot at your enemies. Simply move the lift to the second floor and place the discs into the slot to launch it by pulling the level.

On the third level, there is a power pad on the right hand side of the building.  This pad works like a remote to operate the flight tower. On the flight tower arm, there is a flight adjuster which allows you to move it for either high flying action or low flying action.  To start, move the adjuster it in the centre of the arm.  If the copter does not lift off, move the flight adjuster away from the copter.  If this is not played with for more than 3 minutes, it will enter into sleep mode and the ready light will turn off.

On the left hand side of the tower, there is another power pad which is able to launch a disc out from the launcher inside Wayne tower by simply putting a character on it and turning.

On the tower, it also comes with a trap door where Batman can drop Joker through the door and capture him.

We love all the details of this tower. There are so many features to play and both children particularly like the flight tower. They both enjoy watching Batman fly into the sky to capture Joker.  This set is very well thought and fun to play with. This flight tower can also be connect together with another Imaginext playsets to make the adventure even more fun!
