Nancy Doll

30 May 2016 by Eileen

Nancy is an unusual doll collection of large fashion dolls and now they are coming to the UK.  We were so pleased to have received this World Adventures Rio doll and Hair Braids doll.  Nancy was first launched by Famosa in 1968 and she is the leading Fashion doll in Spain.

Nancy stands a whopping 42 cm tall. Each of them are pretty and is a good friend who loves fashion. She does cool things, dresses in beautiful clothes and loves new adventures and her pets. There are few ranges of Nancy dolls like the Nancy Flowers, World Adventures, Dolphins, Pink Princess and Hair Braids. Compared to the 1968 range, these Nancy dolls are more modern and their sense of fashion have been updated too.

For the World Adventures range doll, besides the Rio doll, there are also Paris, London and New York City dolls. Each doll set comes with a bag, pet carrier with dog, travel documents, stickers and a secret diary with key. Ms C was so excited with the secret diary and couldn’t wait to write some secret notes in it!  This Brazil doll also comes with yellow glasses and a fashionable hair style. There are plenty of braids on her which we will not attempt to remove and restyle it. It looks so intricate and neat that we’d be worried we’d mess it up.  She comes with beautiful brown eyes and very long eye leashes. She’s wearing this cute parrot dress which goes well with the Brazil theme. Her yellow boots are easy to remove by using Velcro at the back.

She has a white terrier which is small and soft. You can take him along on your adventure in her little nice pet carrier. Inside her secret diary, it also comes with a notepad and a mirror which is a nice idea for them to check themselves before moving on! Ms C really loves that diary as it is small and yet large enough for her to hide her coins in it!

Next we have this Hair Braids range. Inside the box, it comes with braider and four clip on bows. The braider is easy to use by clipping the hair onto the clip and twisting it around.  This is a great doll for children who love to braid their dolls!

Nancy is a good quality doll which comes with different personalities to suit individual children. Even though she is huge, she stands very well on flat surfaces. To find out more about the ranges of Nancy dolls, do pop over to the Nancy Facebook page or Bandai website to check it out! She is available to buy in The Entertainer and Toys R Us.

These dolls look huge, Miss C looks very happy with them! These look different from other dolls around and I like the fact that they can stand up!
