Quest is a safe, fun-packed activity centre for all ages. They are located inside the Intu Merry Hill shopping mall which is also around the corner to Debenhams. There are plenty of free car parks situated around the mall. Now you have more reasons to go shopping there while leaving your husband/partner with the children at Quest.
There are six unique attractions to choose: Mini Golf, Nerf Blaster Target Range, Sky Tykes Low Ropes Course, Altitude High Ropes Course, Yu Kids Adventure Soft Play and Nerf Arena. As we were there for an exclusive blogger event, there were less crowds as it was before general public opening hours.
The first attraction that Ms C chose to play was the Yu Kids soft play area. The whole place is very well decorated with bright colourful Sky Jumping Light Slide, Spinning Palm Tree, Revolving Drum, Waterfall Tunnel, Wave Rider and more! This was developed in Japan and is the first in the UK. The place is secured and manned by staff, with plenty of sofas for parents to relax, pram storage, foam floor and snack bars. Before you enter, you need to remove your shoes and socks on at all times. Ms C loved the activities as there are many places for her to explore and jump around. She especially loved the bouncing balloon area where she just immersed herself with the balloons. The fee for the entrance is very reasonable even though it is in a shopping mall.
Next, we went onto the Altitude High Ropes Course which is 17m high with 4 levels of challenges. As this activity has a height restriction, younger children could take on the low ropes course instead, which is next to the mini golf. The minimum height for children is 1.1m. For children between 1.1 to 1.3m, they must be accompanied by an adult. A great feature about their secure harness system is that it allows people to pass each other and there are many routes to go.
Both Mr K and Ms C were not tall enough to go by themselves so Mr C had to tag along with them. They were given a short briefing and soon they were all off to do their challenge. As this is not a one way system, it means you can explore any level you want. Both of them started from the bottom and on a different route. Mr K was more confident and tried to do all the most challenging obstacles while Ms C preferred to do the easier challenges.
I like that they have some freedom of movement along the tracks and that you can pick and choose your challenges. They all had fun and it took them a long time to explore all the levels. It did get very warm while up there. Hence it is best to not wear a coat or jumper.
Looking at the entrance price for this activity, I am very surprise that it is inexpensive. The whole environment feels safe and comes with a great system. I would definitely recommend Quest.
As we were running out of times, we didn’t get time to explore the rest of the activities like golf, Nerf gallery and others. I hope before long, we can make a trip to intu Merry Hill again. I would definitely recommend them.
