MegaBleu: Alien Mission, Cobra Attack & Trickin’ Camel

24 November 2015 by Eileen

Last month, we had the opportunity via tots100 to try out two fabulous ghostly games (Ghost Hunt and Creepy Hand review hosted on Red Rose Mummy’s site) from MegaBleu. This week, we have received yet more amazing games. They are Alien Mission, Cobra Attack and Trickin’ Camel!

megableu games review

ALIEN MISSION

First, I have Alien Mission which is quite similar to Ghost Hunt but this time, you are shooting and destroying aliens! It is a laser alien shooting game which is suitable for ages five onwards and for one or more players. It comes with Alien Mission goggles, an electronic gun, four bonus cards and instructions. The goggles requires 3 AAA batteries and the gun requires 3 AAA batteries which are not included. It requires minimal installation.

alien mission review

There are three levels to choose from: Easy, Medium and Hard. To select the level, simple press the button and synchronise your gun with your goggles. You will need to synchronise your gun each time you select the level or begin a new game. It is very quick and easy to do so. The gun has an on/off button so make sure to turn it off when not in use. The goggles are quite chunky but comfortable to wear. The straps can be easily adjusted to allow it to fit children and adult size heads alike. The gun is very lightweight but substantial to hold.

There are four alien mission cards to give you extra points to add to your score and they will add an extra dimension to your mission of wiping out the aliens. Before you start the game, ask another player to place the cards around the house but not hidden. Each card found is worth 2 extra points. If you find them all, you will have 10 points added to your final score.

Alien Mission Playing

To play this game, you need to blast the alien with the laser gun to award one point and lose one point if you blast an innocent robot.

COBRA ATTACK

Beware of the snake! Cobra Attack is quite similar to the classic game ‘Sly Fox’ but here you have to sneak up to the snake basket and steal the emerald. It comes with one basket with electronic motion sensor, one springing snake, one synthetic emerald jewel, one key and instructions.

cobra attack

This game is played with one or more players and is suitable for age five and above. This basket requires 4 AA batteries to operate which are not included. There are three buttons on the side of the basket which is an on/off switch, start/play and three different level selections.

It is recommended to play in a room that is about 4 x 4 metres. Place the basket on a table or chair. To set it up, you need to slide the jewel into the space on the front of the basket. Then insert the snake in the basket and press down. Insert the key into the keyhole located on the back of the basket and push down.

Watch this video and Mr K will show you how it is done. https://youtu.be/zdrX1HBjVGk

To win this game, try to retrieve the jewel before the snake jumps out of the basket and catches you. If the snake’s eyes glows green, you are allowed to move. If the eyes glow red, you have to stop moving. This game was very popular when we had friends around. We would highly recommend it!

TRICKIN’ CAMEL

Finally, we have this Trickin’ Camel game where you need to collect as many bottles as possible by winning the challenges and/or by catching the bottles he flings out of his bottle crate. But be careful, as he might spit water at you!

trickin camel

It comes with one camel plus base, one pipette (for getting water into the camel’s mouth), 22 bottles (20 plus 2 spares) and instructions. This game is played with one or more players and is suitable for age five and above. This camel requires 3 AA batteries to operate which are not included. There are two buttons on the side of the base which are the on/off switch and the number of players selector.

Each player has to complete 3 camel challenges: guessing game, memory game and speed game. Come and check out what we think about this game and see Mr K demonstrate how to play it!

I would recommend all these games to everyone! They are available to buy online from Argos, Smyths, Firebox, Toys R Us, Toy Master, Tobar, Debenhams and Amazon.

Here are some of the games from MegaBleu to try out from Amazon:

  • Cobra Attack
  • Ghost Hunt
  • Creepy Hand

Hi, thanks for replying. I just meant is it obvious to the kids or are they different sizes / look like different distances etc? X

Yes, it is quite obvious and the sizes are the same.

I find that children tend to move a lot (left to right, right to left or random) when the alien/good buddy pop out. Each time they see the alien at the corner of their eyes, they immediately jump left to right. So do have plenty space for them and without obstacles around.
