Disney Princess Hair Glow Rapunzel Review

29 November 2015 by Eileen

I See the Light! This Hair Glow Rapunzel doll brings the magic of the hit movie Disney Tangled to life. When you brush her hair, it will begin to magically glow as she sings. This is a very well made and nice sized doll (roughly 34 cm tall) that will be adored by many children! This is suitable for aged 3 onwards.

This Hair Glow Rapunzel comes with a brush, tiara, a pair of pink shoes and a beautiful purple dress. She also comes with long beautiful blonde hair with hair glow pleats (5 glowing lights) on each side. Her limbs are moveable and she is able to stand or sit. Some parents may question whether the light cable is safe; I would think so as the cable is well protected with a plastic shield. Also as long as the child doesn’t pull the cable or hair out, it should be safe.

It requires 3 AAA batteries which are included in the set. It has a switch at the back of her with selections for O for on, X for off and T for Try Me. It did confuse me initially as commonly you would find O for off and I for on.

Once you switch her on, there are two different play features. You can either brush the hair on top of her head or press the button on her chest to activate lights and music.

She will sing the chorus of the song – I See the Light.

And at last I see the light

And it’s like the fog has lifted

And at last I see the light

And it’s like the sky is new

And it’s warm and real and bright

And the world has somehow shifted

Ms C was so thrilled when she saw Rapunzel. She is one of Ms C’s favourite Disney characters and with her glowing hair, it just blew her away! Ms C loves brushing Rapunzel’s hair and making her sing! It is a good size doll that allows your child to cuddle her. Her hair does go quite messy after a while if unmaintained.

This doll is available at RRP £39.99 in all good toy stores and Amazon. I would definitely recommend it as they make a great Christmas gift and I am sure your child will love it!
