Plasticine Softeez Post Twitter Party

8 August 2015 by Eileen 1 Comment

Did you join us on Wednesday for the Plasticine Softeez Twitter party? We all had a lovely time with UKMumstv and Plasticine on Twitter #PlasticineSofteez. It was very manic as usual and I tweeted about my children’s and guests’ creations!

First, we started off using the under the sea kits by splitting the children into two groups. We challenged them to make an underwater scene. They could either use the tools provided or freestyle. Both groups were very competitive and they made mermaids, octopuses and other sea creatures. Next, they presented their creations on the under the sea plastic sheet.

We followed up by colouring the colouring sheets before we had tea. I had made a rainbow sponge cake and they all loved it.

The next activity was to use an equal portion of Plasticine each to see who could make the longest Plasticine snake! Not only that, they needed to use a small portion of the Plasticine to make the snake’s eyes and mouth! This was so much fun that the children keep rolling it until it resembled long spaghetti! The longest snake was made by one of the oldest children with a winning length of 101 cm! She was so pleased with it! After which, they all were given a certificate to take home.

Lastly, we used the Cupcake Creations kit for this cupcake creation craft! Before they made their cupcakes, they used the colouring sheet to colour in their creations. They needed to replicate their cupcake using the kit to make it. These are their final creations! Don’t they look cool!

They all had a great time playing with Plasticine and each had a goody bag to take home.

Plasticine is suitable for aged 3 and above. You can get them from Flair, good retailers including Amazon. Overall, I find that Plasticine is great value for money and it is fun for children to play with. It allows them to be creative and imaginative.

Here are some of the Plasticine sets to try out from Amazon:

  • Funtubulous
  • Basix Assortment
  • Fluro

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review however all thoughts and opinions remain our own. We have included Amazon affiliate links to the products. If you click on this and buy, we may earn a small commission.
