Barbie Glitter Hair Doll Review

31 July 2015 by Eileen

This summer, Barbie is getting young stylists to create unique glittery looks for them using this special glitter hairstyling set! This Barbie glitter hair doll allows you to create the most unique and trendy looking hair!

My daughter loves to style her own hair and also for Barbie too! She recently reviewed this rainbow hair doll and now she is going to learn to create the most sparkling hair ever!

This set comes with a Barbie doll wearing a pink top with shimmery dress (Velcro) accessorised with silver necklace and black shoes. There is also a hair tool clip, seven individual packets of glitter, one adhesive design sheet, two hair clips, three rubber bands and one comb. I find that the clips are quite small and flimsy. It might not last for long or will disappear in no time. Needless to say, Ms C happily substituted her own accessories. This set is suitable for ages 5 and above.

It is easy to put on the hair tool clip but Ms C wanted me to help her to ensure we clipped enough hair. Then we used one of the adhesive designs and applied it onto the clipped hair. The tip of the comb can be used to press the adhesive design. We finished off by using the glitter sheet to apply the glitter onto the hair.

After the first try, Ms C enjoyed doing the creation herself. She love the idea of putting glitter onto hair. She just loves glitter. The glitter sheet did get very messy and filled the whole table with loose glitter! Later, she even put a couple of clips for her Barbie doll!

This Barbie comes with long silky hair that is easy to comb and style. Her limbs are moveable but her elbows and knees are fixed. Her head can be rotated freely and she is ready to pose when needed! She is not able to stand straight and does require help from the stylist!

Ms C likes this Barbie as much as she likes the rest of her Barbie dolls. She will happily style her hair with glitter and tie it when she wants. Barbie is very well made and will last for a long time even when the glitter runs out. To get rid of the glitter, simply run the hair with warm water and rub it. It does get quite messy afterwards!

This Barbie set is available in good toy retailers, Smyths and Amazon at RRP £24.99. For fun activities to print, create and colour in, visit http://www.barbie.co.uk.

I love Barbies that you can play with their hair easily and this one has lovely long hair! The glitter stickers look really effective in the hair!
