Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks is available to buy on DVD and digital download from 23rd March 2015 in time for the long Easter break. Yet again, fans are not only getting to enjoy 70 minutes of magical movie, a Rainbow Rocks poster is also included!
Equestria Girls is an animated feature film starring characters resembling the main cast of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic as teenage human girls. Princess Twilight is able to use her mirror to teleport her into the human world. When she is in the human world, she discovers Twilight is a teenage human girl and Spike is a talking dog, and find friends that resemble their pony friends from Equestria.
Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks is the second sequel from My Little Pony Equestria Girls. Now, the girls of Canterlot High are back, and this time they are rocking guitars. The Canterlot High is hosting a musical showcase, and Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Poe, Rarity, and Fluttershy are going to be performing with their new band, The Rainbooms. But when The Dazzlings, a new girl group, arrive at Canterlot High and convince everyone to turn the friendly showcase into a Battle of the Bands, tensions mount between the competing musical acts. The movie features over 10 songs and Ms C is captivated by them, humming and singing along to them! It is like a high school musical type of show.
Anyway, back to the movie, a now-reformed Sunset Shimmer realizes that The Dazzlings may not be ordinary girls and are after something far more sinister than just being named Best Band at Canterlot High. The Rainbooms call on Princess Twilight to restore harmony to their world to help them perform a musical counter-spell so that they can win a battle that now determines the fate of the entire school.
Both my children enjoyed watching it and were engrossed watching it. It is available to buy in all good retailers and Amazon.
