The Half & Half-Term Games – Warburtons

2 June 2014 by Eileen

As Commonwealth Games fever hits the UK – Warburtons and the Brownlee Brothers have teamed up to launch “The Half & Half-Term Games”.  The Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, with over 11 days of competition from 23 July to 3 August 2014. Visit www.facebook.com/warburtons for daily Warburtons Half & Half-Term Games inspiration.

Warburtons Half Half

I can’t believe this May half term has already come and gone!  Despite the heavy rain, we made up for lost time playing sports at home and luckily, we’ve had sunshine this last weekend!

Warburtons sent us a fantastic box of games to take part in these games and included their half & half range (bread, square wraps and rolls) for us to try out!

The Half & Half-Term Games are:

  1. The Backward Sprint
  2. Human Hurdles
  3. Disco-tastic Gymnastics
  4. Topple Tug of War
  5. The Short Jump
  6. Little Triathlon
  7. The Hose Jump
  8. Mini Commonwealth Steeple Chase
  9. Cycle-tastic Fun
  10. Mini Kids Relay

Mr K is a loves sports and he is always up for a challenge! This is him trying a variety of the games I had set up for him.

He is very good at his running and managed to complete it in no time! Ms C is also very enthusiastic to participate with him.

After all those sports, we came in for some nice sausage and bacon rolls which we’d barbecued outside, sandwiches and square wraps!  I am not a big fan of wholemeal but this half and half range is quite nice.  You can taste the difference in texture of the wholemeal compared to white bread, but it was fine for my children and me.  Mr C loves the idea of half & half and loves this range.  I would definitely buy the half and half square wraps!  They are great when toasted and are tasty too.

Looks like lots of fun, do love Warburtons. We went to visit friends in Derbyshire, went to the local Natural History Museum, Whipsnade Zoo, Stowe Gardens and the Cinema – another busy week here!
