Fisher Price Dora Swimming Mermaid Review

8 May 2014 by Eileen

Dora is going for an underwater adventure with your little one! This gorgeous Fisher-Price Swimming Mermaid Dora magically moves through the water like a real mermaid.

Dora Swimming Mermaid Dora

This Dora bath toy measures about 27 cm long and comes with gorgeous colour-changing long soft hair and a comb! Simply use the comb to brush warm water through her hair and her highlighted hair will change to a pretty pink colour. Or use icy cold water to change the highlight back to purple or just leave it to dry!

Ms C loves to play with her hair as it is quite manageable and easy to comb in water. I was expecting it to be difficult to comb in water but I was pleasantly surprised. Her hair texture is beautifully silky and soft. They are unlike the synthetic hair from other cheaper plastic dolls.

By winding her seashell necklace, her tails will move and she will swim through the water. Both of my children didn’t have any problems winding the necklace. Once it is in water, her tail flips quite slowly and gracefully in a circle. If it is not wound, she is able to float on the water too.

I do think she is slightly overpriced but it does make a great bath toy for any girl! It is very well made and there is great attention to detail. Both her upper limbs are able to rotate and her head too. It is a good size and durable.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

This is so cute! Shame I don’t have a girl to play with this but I would have loved it as a kid 😀
