Horrid Henry and the King of Bling DVD review

28 April 2014 by Eileen

This is the latest DVD release of Horrid Henry and the King of Bling Volume 24 from Abbey Home Media.  Horrid Henry stories are based on the characters created by Francesca Simon, illustrated by Tony Ross and published by Orion Children Books.

Horrid Henry and the King of Bling DVD review

It features six brand new episodes:

  • Horrid Henry and the King of Bling
  • Horrid Henry Sells the School
  • Horrid Henry and the Code Crackers
  • Horrid Henry and the Movie Star
  • Horrid Henry and the Terrible Teacher
  • Horrid Henry’s Horrible Homework

This DVD is approximately 66 minutes long and includes English subtitles for the hard of hearing.

The children were both excited to watch the DVD – they love Horrid Henry.  They read the books, watch it on YouTube and even on DVD!

If you follow Horrid Henry, you would know how Henry is horrid to his younger brother Peter and all his friends like Rude Ralph and Moody Margaret.  Also not forgetting Horrid Henry’s least favourite teacher Miss Battle-Axe!  Note though that the DVD is rated as a U so is universally suitable for all.  Both children were laughing through the episodes and really enjoyed it.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

My son didn’t need horrid Henry to get up to mischief! But it seems fun.

My 2 love Horrid Henry so would probably enjoy watching this. They love seeing what he gets up to next.

My boys like Horrid Henry. I think having some of the books makes it even more interesting and special to them.

I have become a bit of a fan of Horrid Henry, I used to think the programme was all gross humour but some of the stories are actually very funny and I feel sorry for Henry!
