Limited Edition Warburtons Christmas Wrapper

26 November 2013 by Eileen 3 Comments

This morning, I received a large hamper from Warburtons which was supposed to arrive last Saturday for our Blogger Night In. Unfortunately, they arrived too late and none of the bloggers could try them or bring them home. So I have given some away to my neighbours and friends as they now have short expiry dates.

Warbutons christmas wrapper

The lovely people from Warburtons have sent us a variety of teacakes, crumpets, muffins and their Limited Edition Christmas wax wrapper Toastie bread for review!  So my husband and I are in luck to get to try them all!

Warburtons Christmas

So this afternoon, Mr C sliced the fruity teacakes with currants and sultanas in half and toasted them. He then spread it with a thin layer of butter and served with a cup of tea. The teacakes were gorgeous and delicious! They have the perfect balance of fruit so that it’s not too fruity and sweet. They are a good source of fibre. They should go down well with children too. Each packet comes with four teacakes. The product contains wheat, gluten and soya. Shame that I can’t shared it with The Brick Castle as she would love it so much.

As for my lunch, I toasted my crumpets and smothered with butter. Eating it plain can taste like eating dough. I think it is best to serve it with butter, jam, cheese or scrambled eggs. Do check out their website for more recipe ideas. I think they are my number one crumpets brand. I love them and for me, the two have become synonymous. I won’t choose any other brand except for Warburtons.  Each packet come with six thick and fluffy crumpets.  The product contains wheat gluten.

As for our dinner, I had cooked Bird Eyes crispy chicken in the oven for 20 minutes and served it with warm muffins with mayonnaise and lettuce. If you like McDonalds muffins, you would love Warburtons! They are soft and tasty. Both of my children managed to finish their burger which is a rarity especially for my daughter!  They love it and so do I.  Each packet comes with four muffins. The product contains wheat gluten and soya. Next time, I would use it for cooking an Eggs Benedict recipe! It would be gorgeous!</>

If you often buy Warburtons bread, you would have notice that they have added fun ideas on the wax wrapper!  It is their limited edition Christmas wrapper!  It is always nice to see brands make an effort to get everyone into the festive spirits! This is great fun!  Given the short expiry because of the delayed delivery, I froze a loaf of bread and will use as soon as possible.

All the products are suitable for vegetarians and can be frozen on the day of purchase. As with all foods, always check the expiry dates. I would highly recommend them to anyone! They are simply gorgeous at any time of the day! We love it!

This morning – the UK’s first baked Christmas tree was unveiled on London’s Southbank, to mark the launch of Warburtons special edition Christmas packaging, the packaging I sent you. This morning, standing at 12 foot tall – the tree took 50 hours to create and comprises of 2,500 of pieces of baked family favourites, including slices of bread, wraps, pancakes and crumpets. Warburtons is inviting the public to head to its Facebook page to guess what’s inside the gifts, for a chance to win the contents! Good luck!
