Nanny Fox Review

4 October 2013 by Eileen

Nanny Fox is a book written by Georgie Adams and illustrated by Selina Young. It is a brand new edition of a classic picture book which was released on 18th July 2013 and published by Orion Publishing. It is paperback containing about 32 pages. This is a heart warming book and each of the pages are beautifully illustrated.

Nanny Fox Book

This story is about Arnold Fox, a young fox who loves chickens but not as food. He wants to be their friends. He is different from his traditional family as he would rather eat his peanut butter sandwiches than chicken. So he packs his bags and goes to the farm where he becomes Nanny Fox to Mrs Buff Orpington’s six fluffy chicks. One night his brother and sister come hunting and he protects Mrs Buff Orpington and her six chicks.

My children keeps asking me why Arnold Fox didn’t want to eat the chickens but stay as friends instead.  This is a great story to show children that different type of animals sometimes can live in harmony. I rate this book 5 stars out of 5. It is an interesting and easy to read book.
