Forensics Reconstruction Kit

29 September 2013 by Eileen 7 Comments

Have you ever wanted to be a CSI or do you love to watch crime stories and wonder how they solved a crime?  One of my Halloween party ideas is to play this Forensics Reconstruction Kit to entertain the older children and adults this Halloween!

Forensics Reconstruction Kit

In this kit, there are 6 reconstruction activities and it is suitable for 8 years and above.  It comes with a tape measure, evidence bag, ruler, bullet-hole wall, crime scene tape etc.

The six activities are:

  • Convert Your Home into a Crime Scene
  • An attempted Robbery at Soundtech Music Ltd
  • Caught in the Act
  • An accident in the High Street
  • A mugging at Tower Rise
  • A Fatal Shooting at Tower Rise

Each activity will take approximately 20 minutes or more to play, depending on how many players are involved.Yesterday, we played the attempted robbery at Soundtech Music Ltd. We used the map and overlay sheet trying to reconstruct the whole scenario. It was challenging as everyone had to listen very carefully and try to work it out with the evidence and clues given. Once you think you have your answer, then read the provided answer sheet to see if you are correct!

This game is suitable for playing one time only and is very interesting game to play with realistic notions that will keep your friends and family entertained. It does require plenty of logical thinking and calculation! The downside of this kit is the quality of some of the contents as they made from flimsy cardboard. I do love the idea of solving a crime and the 6 activities provided are great. They are definitely great for indoor Halloween party ideas if your older children do not fancy going trick or treating!

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
