Vanish Oxi Action and Oxi Action Crystal White

27 June 2013 by Eileen

My mum has used Vanish for many years now so Vanish is a brand that has always stayed close to me. Each time I go back to Singapore, there will be a pink bottle sitting next to her washing machine. However, both our children suffer from eczema so we have steered clear of any fabric stain removal products or bio washing powders. That mean our clothings are looking dull, faded and full of stains.

Vanish Oxi Action and Oxi Action Crystal White

Vanish has recently sent me a Vanish Oxi Action (pink tub) and Vanish Oxi Action Crystal White (white tub) to try it out. I am so happy to use them to make my white fabrics whiter and stain free.  As I mentioned, my children suffer from eczema, so I decided to try both tubs on our adult clothing only. Verdict:  Very Impressed! Using the Vanish Oxi Action Crystal White, I was amazed to find my white king size bed linen sheet and duvet cover looking ever so white. I can definitely see the difference. As for Vanish Oxi Action, it removed cooking stains from my multi-coloured kitchen apron. I also tried pre-treating our tea towels because they had older stains and again, it did a great job reducing the visibility of the stains.

What is the different between the pink and white tubs?

The first difference is that the pink tub is suitable for coloured clothes but the white tub is recommended to use on white clothes only. Both work the same way by removing stains. The second difference is that the pink tub is suitable for pre treating clothes and the scoop has a knobbly base to help rub into the stain. The white tub is not recommended to pre-treat and the scoop is smooth to reflect this.

How are they used? Just add one scoop to every wash with your washing powder.  It works with a 30 degree wash to save energy. Vanish can help remove difficult stains such as blood stains as well as stubborn food and drink stains like red wine stains.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
