Maid Simple Products Review

28 June 2013 by Eileen

Cleaning has become one of my regular pastimes as a Stay At Home Mum. To be honest, I do love to clean my house as I am house proud. Over the years, I have tried so many big brand cleaning products and recently came across Maid Simple. Maid Simple is a family business that has been involved with cleaning products for over 20 years. I have received four cleaning products from them and this is what I think about their products.

maid simple ironing

Ironing Water 500ml £3.99

Normally I use filtered water to fill up the iron for ironing. This is my first time using the ironing water. I was pleased with the result. It is easy to spray, iron and it leaves the clothing smelling fresh. The smell is light and not overpowering. I love the tip provided on the back of the bottle: “Place aluminium foil under your ironing board cover and the reflected heat means you will iron both sides of your clothes at the same time!”.  What a clever idea.  This is what I have now done with ours.

maid simple glass

Glass & Mirror Cleaner 500ml £3.99

This is so easy to spray and clean. It removed the dirt really easily and left the windows shining. Again, I love the tip: “Wash the outside of windows with car shampoo to remove grit”.  I had a bottle of car shampoo that I had it for 4 years and still not finished. So I have now found a new use for it!

maid simple bathroom cleaner

Bathroom Cleaner 500ml £3.99

I give this 5 stars out of 5, highly recommended.  Out of so many bathroom cleaners, this is one of the best I have ever used. The smell of the cleaner is not very strong and yet it does the job well. I used it on my two bathroom sinks. The watermarks and dirt were so easily cleaned off without any hassle.  It left the taps shining and sparkling.

All these three products above come in a handheld spray. You are able to turn it the spray on or off. They are easy to press with one hand. No fuss at all. Just remember to lock it after use to avoid accidental sprays.

maid simple liquid

Washing up liquid 500ml £2.79

To quote the bottle, “lovely bubbly”. Yes, it is very bubbly. The liquid is a good consistency and washes grease quite well. It has a price tag of £2.79, which I think is quite pricey. But a secondary use could be making a bubble solution for a science project!

Overall, these products work, and work well. They are made in the UK. I love their tips and their funky website.

Disclosure: We received the sample for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

I’ve not heard about these products before, but they sound really good.
