My 5 Christmas Festive Playlist

7 December 2012 by Eileen

BritMums challenged bloggers to come up with a festive playlist that will keep them or their Designated Driver smiling this season while they taxi friends and family around.

The #FestivePlaylist Linky is sponsored by Coca-Cola and its special Designated Driver programme which helps promote the positive role that soft drinks can play as credible alternatives to alcohol. You can use their interactive Pub Finder to find places where Designated Drivers can enjoy 2-for-1 Coke and Diet Coke when out with friends – find out more here!

My 5 Christmas Festive Playlist

This is my top 5 Christmas favourite:

1. Slade – Merry Xmas Everybody

Seeing Noddy Holder and his troupe on platform performing on the 1973’s ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’ MTV, injecting lot of funky, slightly drunken dancing moves into the festive season. Of course, their crazy outfits and hair-do’s says it all!

2. Wham! – Last Christmas

The second song I choose is Wham! This song is very meaningful and special.  He is trying to send his genuine heartbreak message across, well done to him!

3. Paul McCartney – Wonderful Christmas Time

Don’t you just love Macca! This is so easy to sing along and get into the festive mood!

4. Bing Crosby – White Christmas

This song reminds me of my dad. Both of them have the same low tone voice.  This is a classic song that you never get sick of or bore of it. It is so soothing and reminds you to keep dreaming to make your dreams come true! I would love it to snow now!

5. Bobby Helms – Jingle Bell Rock

Again, I choose another classic song. My daughter likes this song at a lot and even changes the lyrics swapping out Jingle Bell to Christmas Day to make it more fun! It is a great party song to keep you in a happy mood while driving!

Hello!

Welcome to ET Speaks From Home!

Hi, I’m Eileen — a mum of two teenagers, aged 18 and 17, and a passionate lifestyle blogger sharing snippets of family life, creativity, and culture since May 2012. My daughter lives with visual impairment, and our journey together has shaped much of the heart behind this blog.

What started as a small space to document family memories has grown into a vibrant corner of the internet where I share my love for cooking, crafting, DIY projects, Chinese culture, parenting, and honest product and YouTube reviews. Whether I’m creating festive crafts, exploring Chinese traditions, or trying out new recipes, I hope to inspire others through everyday moments from home.

Over the years, ET Speaks From Home has been recognised by several parenting and blogging communities, including:

* Top 20 UK Parent Blogs (2020)
* Tots100 Top 20 Blog on Twitter (2014)
* Tots100 Top Mummy Vloggers (2015)
* Tots100 Top 20 Vloggers (2016)
* Shortlisted for the BritMums Brilliance in Blogging Awards (BiBs), Video Category (2014)

Thank you for stopping by and being part of our journey. I hope you’ll find inspiration, useful tips, cultural insights, and a little joy here at ET Speaks From Home. Read More…
