We first found out about Olly the Little White Van last year because we read that it is voiced by one of the children’s favourite Cbeebies stars, Justin Fletcher (Something Special, Justin’s House and Mr Tumble). I must admit that we only occasionally watch the CITV channel and Olly the Little White Van would probably have passed us by if it had not been for Justin. Olly The Little White Van episodes air in the UK on the CITV channel twice daily. Weekdays at 9:45 am and 12:45 pm.
For those who do not know about Olly:
Olly is a lively little white van with a big personality and lots of friends who all like to have loads of fun. He, who alongside his driver Stan is always happy to help a friend in need in any way he can, while embarking on a host of fun-filled adventures along the way! They drive around the town of Bumpton helping their friends with problems and lending a hand. There are so many colourful characters in the series such as Miss Florette, Royston, Mey, Bazza and Jethro the tractor.

Each 5 minute show features a lively song sung by the cast of each specific episode. With over an hour of fantastic entertainment. The theme tune is really catchy too, and we all find ourselves singing along to:
“Olly the little white van, helps his friends as much as he can
Olly the little white van, always around to give a helping hand..”
The DVD also includes a free colouring-in sheet. I made the mistake of giving it to Ms C without thinking of Mr K. I should have photocopied it as both of my children ended up fighting over it. After a few tears, we reached a compromise and they both coloured it together but had to agreed who coloured what. I did a search and found their website, which has a nice colouring activity where they can colour the picture on the website and print out the result. I rate this DVD 5 stars out of 5. It would be a great gift to any fans of Olly the Little White Van!
