Bumbo Baby Sitter and Tray Review

11 May 2012 by Eileen

I first saw the Bumbo bay sitter seat at my friend’s house in 2008, and got the impression that it’s a very comfortable seat for younger babies who trying to sit up (approx age 6 months old).  I did get some negative feedback from my friends as their active children managed to tip over while trying to get out and that her children’s legs were too chubby to fit in the seat. It didn’t deter me though as I still bought one for my daughter in 2009.

Bumbo Baby Sitter and Tray Review

It is just perfect for early weaning (6 months old) for that really awkward stage when your baby is too young to sit in a high chair and too big to be fed in your arm.  I remember I used to feed my son in his walker until he was big enough to hold himself up! It is also very easy to clean and portable.

My rating for the seat is 4 out of 5 stars. I think it is money well spent. The tray is an optional extra.  I was quite surprised that it had to be attached on the seat before you put your child in it.  Sometimes it is difficult to manoeuvre the child’s legs into the seat. I would rate it 2 out of 5 stars. It is useful as a tray for food or toys but it is a bit cumbersome to use. I had also done a review for another Bumbo’s product, please see Bumbo Toilet Seat.

Disclosure: We bought this Bumbo Baby Sitter and Tray in order to do review.
