Today is the start of the half term and the kids have a week of sports club to go to. But thanks to the PR for Birmingham International Airport who kindly invite us to a blogger event at the Frankie & Benny restaurants. So today the kids did have half a day off sports club!
My son is a big fan of F&B and always asks to go there! He loves the children’s menu especially the Spaghetti Bolognese and their pudding – ice cream sundae! Soon we arrived at F&B which is located at 1st Floor Terminal 1 Landside. We were met by F&B mascot Sketch and Sky Side Zoom and all the children were very excited to take a photo with them. Later, we had garlic bread as a starter and followed by the yummy main dish. I had the New Jersey Chicken while the children had Spaghetti Bolognese and fish fingers.
F&B at the airport is slightly different from their normal high street restaurants. They aim to get the food served within 10 minutes so you won’t need to rush and can enjoy your meal. It is always nice not to rush around nor miss your favourite dish as you don’t have enough time!
I can’t say enough about their meals. We are their regular customers, especially their £5 breakfast. We always meet with friends there for brunch. If you would like to know more, do read about my bloggers night in where we went there for breakfast. What a bargain!
The location and the direction to F&B is very easy to find and they have plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate all sizes of the group. As they aim to serve the food within 10 minutes, a few complicated dishes were omitted from the menus as they take longer to cook. I had a quick look and found that they have most of my favourite dishes, so I have no complaints! Note that they are only open from 9 am to 8 pm every day.
Also look out for Sky Side Zoom this summer! He is back again to entertain children during the summer holiday at the Sky Zone. We visited there last year and both children loved it, so check them out here! We have received their latest booklet and now they have included a map in it. The map is definitely useful for all of us to find the Sky Side Zone!
Thanks to F&B and the PR from Birmingham International Airport for this lovely day out.
Disclosure: We were invited to attend the event for the purposes of writing this post, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
