A Visit to Black Country Living Museum
Last week, we went to our first Guide Dogs family event at the Black Country Living Museum. Not many people know that besides training guide dogs (or buddy dogs like Mabel), Guide Dogs also help children with mobility access, technology support and many more.
Upstairs by Tom Shepherd
This meal at Upstairs by Tom Shepherd was supposed to be for my birthday in April, but we did not realise how booked up it gets. The next opening slot was for October. Yes, half a year later. We finally made it, just in time for my husband’s birthday instead. This was our first time visiting and we hope to visit them again in future. The experience was amazing and I would highly recommend it.
Jigsaw Puzzle Sales At Erasmus Darwin House
Normally I don’t like to go crazy with buying jigsaw puzzles, but this hobby has become more and more serious for me. Therefore, can you imagine how I felt when I saw an advert for the largest jigsaw puzzle sales at Erasmus Darwin House (15th March 2023)? I did give it a lot of thought as to whether I should swing by at all as I already have 8 unopened puzzles at home! Since it was the first day of the teachers’ strike, I decided to pop out with my daughter to check it out.
Easter Eggs Hunt at Wall Roman Site with Children
This Easter weekend, Wall Roman Site hosted an Easter Egg Hunt, so we decided to pop in! After all these years, living just a stone’s throw away from Wall, we finally visited this open air site managed and maintained by English Heritage, and owned by the National Trust.
Lichfield Shrovetide Fair and Pancake Toss 2015
The Shrovetide Fair and Pancake Toss has always been held in Lichfield’s Bore Street come rain or shine, every year at noon. Finally, this year we were are able to make it as the event coincided with half term. So we met up a few friends along with their children to watch the race.
We didn’t take part as we arrived too late to enter the race but nevertheless, we had fun watching the race. It was my first time and also for my children. They were even more thrilled to see one of their best friends enter the race.
Mr K’s Leaving Do at Birches Valley Forest Centre
Today, yet again a wet wet day! We were definitely not dressed appropriately for the wet weather for his pre-school leaving do at Birches Valley Forest Centre. Mr K didn’t want to wear his wellies and he wore shorts! It is summer but not summer weather.
