Walk into any health store or scroll through wellness websites, and you’ll see supplement bottles proudly stamped with words like “clean,” “natural,” or “pure.” But what do those labels actually mean and are these products really better for you?
The supplement industry is growing fast and is expected to reach $308 billion by 2028. As there are plenty of options out there, it’s quite hard to know what is real and what’s just clever marketing. A survey by Consumer Reports in 2022 found that nearly 60% of Americans feel misled by supplement labels.
That’s where clean-label supplements come in. They promise transparency, minimal ingredients, and no shady additives. But are they truly healthier or just more expensive?
