Scallop Shell Painting

Last week, my sister flew in from Singapore to visit and stay with us.  During her stay, she wanted to cook us her special Chinese homecooked meal. She went to our local supermarket and bought a lot of fresh scallops with shells. My sister is a brilliant cook. She cooked for all our meals and gave me a few days off cooking. Yipee! We had such a good time having her around. All the scallops were in their shells.  Instead of throwing the shells, I washed, dried and saved all of them to let the children use it for art and craft – shell painting.

Halloween Costume Making at Lichfield Library

Yet again another fantastic half term event Halloween Costume Making organised by the Lichfield District libraries. Today, we made a bat mask, treat box and a cape for Halloween with Sarah Fry from Sew Cool Creations.

Autumn and Halloween Art & Craft

I think most children love doing art and craft as they get to show their creative skills and have fun at the same time.  Mr K loves to draw buildings, spider man and treasure maps! Today, he drew a house in autumn in school. As it was so dark and misty out there, he coloured the sky black. Bless him. The weather was not so nice in Lichfield today.

Bear Making Workshops At Lichfield Library

Today, Mr K went to Lichfield library with his best friends, E and K to make a teddy bear and cookies and join in the bear stories and picnic. The Bear Making workshop cost £2.50 for 1.5 hours and I think it was a great bargain! Look what he got! He has named his bear Zac after his best friend! I would rate this activity 5 stars out of 5. Staffordshire library has offered the best school holiday activities for children! Awesome!
