Healthy Hearty Breakfast with Regis Stone

2 September 2014 by Eileen

JML has just launched Regis Stone which is a revolutionary pan with a non-stick coating. It eliminates the need for additional oil or fats and with the hybrid stone coating, it helps conduct heat much faster than regular pans. It comes in 20 cm, 24 cm and 28 cm sizes, prices range from £19.99. I have received the 24 cm pan to create my perfect healthy fried breakfast using the pan for a blogger challenge. I am delighted to take it on.

My first impression is that this is a great quality pan and does not feel very heavy. It is very easy to wipe clean in between frying the bacon and sausages. It comes with a rustic speckled finish which looks lovely. It is suitable for use on gas, induction, electric and ceramic hobs.

We love a good English breakfast in our household, especially with thick smoked bacon and sausages. So last Saturday, I bought a packet of bacon, sausages, mushrooms, plum tomatoes, thick bread, a tin of sweetcorn and eggs to cook this healthy hearty breakfast for Mr C.

Healthy Hearty Breakfast

Firstly, I cooked the egg on the pan without any oil. Surprisingly the egg didn’t stick and I was able to use the OXO turner to flip the egg easily. Next was the bacon, sausages and mushrooms.

I was very impressed that I didn’t need to use even a single drop of oil throughout the cooking. Of course, it did get quite oily when I fried the bacon and sausages which greased the pan too. The pan heats quite quickly and allows me to cook without delay.

Once all the ingredients were cooked, I cut it with a heart-shaped cutter along with the toasted bread. Then I placed them together and served it with sweetcorn, plum tomatoes and mushrooms. So this is my healthy hearty breakfast for my husband, Mr C.

Hope you like this breakfast and I’d be delighted if you could vote for me!

Disclosure: We have received the sample to do this challenge, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
