I am delighted to work with Tractor Ted. Mr K loves his tractors and we live very near a working farm so are able to spot lot of different types of tractors each time we drive past. If you have not heard of Tractor Ted, he is the young children’s farming superhero. Tractor Ted is a cartoon green tractor who is the star of 17 DVDs and 11 books for 2 – 6 year olds about life on the farm and in the countryside. They also have clothing, toys and many more.
If you join the Tractor Ted Fan Club by 1st May, you will enter into a free prize draw to win Ted goodies and get your first DVD purchase at half price. We have received the welcome pack with books, DVD and clothing. They are great for the younger fan. The books and DVD are packed with simple information about tractors and it is great fun to know more about different types of Tractors.
Tractor Ted has published an Activity Book 2 (£4.99) which is a 32 page book. We loved the full colour book with lots of real life photography of farm machinery, animals and plants, and activities and games such as opposites, matching, counting, colouring and cooking. The activities include interesting recipes for making Cheese Scones and Easter Biscuits and working out where chicks, butterflies, daffodils and cheese come from (eggs, caterpillars, bulbs and milk). Now I am off to try to bake Cheese Scones!
This is the 12th book to be published in the Tractor Ted series and follows the success of the Colouring Book, Activity Book 1 and the Christmas Activity Book. I would say this book is suitable for pre-school children (ages 3-5). My 6 year old finds it too easy for him but he was still happy to do the activities together.
It will be available from country stores nationwide and online at www.tractorted.co.uk and will co-inside with the launch of a new Tractor Ted Farm Design™ canvas pencil case (£6.99) which has a sturdy zip and follows the style of the ruck sack, water bottle and thermal lunch bag.
Disclosure: We received the samples for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.
