We love canvas photos in our house and we often change the photos or canvases to refresh the whole look of our rooms, especially as children grow up so fast! They are barely recognisable comparing baby to teen photos!
Now that we have finally settled into our new home (can’t believe it was eight months ago), it is time to update those old canvases we had from our previous home. Thanks to My-Picture.co.uk who offered us the opportunity to review their wide range of their products! So I picked two different sized canvas prints and a range of MIXPIX photo tiles.

Using their website, it is very straightforward to set up an account, upload photos from your PC/laptop/smartphone and pay by card or PayPal. I had no trouble at all as there is no software to download. When you upload your photos, it will not store them in an album. So if you choose a different product, you will have to upload the photos again.
One omission on the website is that it does not currently provide any guidance on the image size/pixels of your photos. I think for any large canvas print, it is best to use at least 4MB to achieve average quality. If you use photos from your smartphone, the quality might not be ideal. Also, it is best to edit your image before uploading it.
For my first photo, I chose a rectangular 80 cm by 60 cm with photo wrapping around the edges at 2 cm in depth. The quality of the photo on the canvas turned out well. The image was slightly blurred but this has to do with the image itself which wasn’t sharp enough when taken to achieve an optimally sharp quality print. The image was only 3.7 megapixels. The premium quality canvas is wrapped on stable, wooden canvas stretchers. The wooden frame looks very new and clean. It did not included wall hooks. If required, remember to add the hanger set before checkout.
For my second photo, I chose a rectangular 60 cm by 30 cm with photo wrapping around edges at 2 cm in depth. This is almost half the size of the big canvas I had before. The canvas colours reflects the colours of the image as our dining room lights are quite a warm colour. I should have edited it a bit brighter but nevertheless, it still looks good.
Lastly, I went for the MIXPIX photo tiles which measures 20cm by 20cm. These only cost £5 each which is very good value! I can keep changing them whenever I want! On my photo, you can see that the MIXPIX is made from a matt surface and cushioned by a thick strong grey sponge with white smooth back. You just need to use the adhesive that is provided to stick on any clean surface. All the images I used were took from a smartphone. They all look good and true to the original images.
