Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from flair

22 August 2015 by Eileen

Here comes Turtle Power! This summer, Mr K and Ms C has been busy role playing, running through the sewer to save the innocent people from Shredder and his gangs! Through the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) playsets we received from Flair, they have had so much fun pretending and fighting until the end!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TMNT range from Flairs

These are the range of TMNT toys:

  • TMNT High Flying Blimp
  • TMNT Party Wagan
  • T-machines garage & lair
  • TMNT combat gear set
  • TMNT deluxe Mask
  • Turtles Dojo Inflatable glove
  • TMNT Battle shell figure
  • Half Shell Hero twin pack
  • 2 x Half Shell Hero figure with vehicle

We had made a vlog to show you the content and how it works! https://youtu.be/9Yxbx9kz0eI

TMNT High Flying Blimp

This is a huge inflatable turtle blimp that inflates to 30” long, with an undercarriage that snaps onto the bottom of the blimp and holds 5 Turtles basic action figures. It didn’t take me long to assemble the Turtle fins and undercarriage. But it took me a good five minutes just to pump air into the Turtle! Once inflated, it is quite big and requires plenty of space to play. It comes with an easy grip handle that makes manoeuvring the blimp very easy even for Ms C!

Instead of using the deploy string to deploy the Turtles, Ms C used it to hook up the vehicles and rescue them from the bad guys. This undercarriage includes a pilot seat and rappelling feature that, with the push of a button, releases the Turtles for an attack from above.

Without the turtles and any other accessories, the blimp is quite lightweight. Overall the materials are very well made and should last for a long time.

TMNT Party Wagon

This Party Wagon includes a front cabin for a turtle to drive with his passenger, two back seat passengers, mutant bashing bumper, mirror mounted blasters (non-working), front deflector windshield, armoured door and firing missiles.

This wagon took me a while to stick the stickers and assemble. It is straight forward to do so. This wagon is made from soft plastic that it is easy to play with. We do find the front cabin’s door can be hard to open and close. This comes with two working firing missiles which is a great fun for children. This is an awesome Green Team party machine.

T-machines garage & lair

This is a small playset which has two levels of play: street surface and sewer tunnel. It also comes with a Raph in T-Rawket vehicle. The scenery is made from a thin cardboard and occasionally children will accidentally knock it off. To play with this set, you can use the garage door lever to open up the lair gate and use the lift to transport the vehicle down to the underground. It is compatible with all T-Machine vehicles and it connects with the Sewer Gas Station (sold separately).

TMNT combat gear set & TMNT deluxe Mask

Both of my children were thrilled when they received these as they love role play and dressing up. The combat gear Raphael comes with two complete sai weapons and one red signature bandana. The sais are lightweight with no sharp ends. The bandana is made from thin cloth that is long enough to tie around the head.

Ms C is wearing the Raphael’s deluxe mask which is quite chunky and well made. It is secured by Velcro at the back of the head.

Turtles Dojo Inflatable glove

This inflatable glove set comes with two inflatable training hands. Once they are pumped up with air, they are ready to use. It can get quite tight when you try to remove them. Mr K had so much fun punch with it! Now we need to get another pair of gloves for Ms C to start the fight! This is a great set and I would recommend getting two sets from the outset if you have two or more children who might play with them.

TMNT Battle shell figure Donatello

He is a 4.5 inch tall figurine and comes with two shuriken and three-section staff neatly hidden in his shell. It is easy to open, clip back and neatly store the secret weapons. He also has a bo staff which can be packed away neatly on the loop. His head and his limbs are able to move 360 degrees and he is a very well made figurine.

Half Shell Hero Range

This Half Shell Hero range is chunkier and nice to play for younger children. The Drop Copter is a 2 in 1 vehicle that can be a helicopter or a ski. It comes with Pilot Raph. To fly the Drop Copter, simply squeeze the trigger and the blades will spin. The ski can also be easily detached from the Drop Copter.

Next, we have the luge which comes with Donnie in the set. To launch the claw, simply press both wheels. Capture Shredder and the foot soldier! All are very well made and colourful.

Before the summers end, we are going to be Heroes in a Half Shell! Turtle Power!
