Ever since the Despicable Me movie hit our screens, Minions have become a firm favourite with all children. Everyone wants to own them! They are so cute and adorable that they have a universal appeal. Needless to say, both of my children are huge fans too. They have been really looking forward to watching the movie!
To coincide with the Minions movie, Top Trumps has launched these Minions Top Trumps cards for older children. Inside the pack, there are 30 cards which pictures of the Minions on their greatest adventures. From the Minions serving the ferocious T-Rex, the great Egyptian Pharaoh and the forces of Napoleon to leading the Minion tribe to their new Evil Master! In each card, there are five categories: Cleverness, Bravery, Leadership, Mischievous and Top Trumps Rating. To aim of the game is to be the one with the best or highest value in one of the categories to win the cards. If you win all the cards, you are the winner of the Top Trumps. Children love this game and they also learn some facts along the way too. This is definitely great to play whilst travelling or at any social gathering! Next, we had the Crayola Colour Alive Minions. If you have not tried the Color Alive app, it is an app which brings your characters to life! This Minion Augmented Reality colouring set also comes with seven different colouring felt pens. Once you colour it in, scan your page and see your character come alive. The children were very pleased to see the Minion in the garden and wanted to take a photo together! It was great fun! There are 16 pages for you to colour in! Each page depicting a Minion character in a different scene and each with its own unique animation elements.

My son would love the Minions Top Trumps, we pretty much play one version of Top Trumps every night, it would be nice to have a change!
My two would go crazy for all these minion things. They’d both love the Top Trumps but I think Mister B would absolutely love the colour alive and the app! As for that inflatable banana – it’s B’s favourite word at the moment, “bananas” is his answer to every question we ask him!!
Minion Top Trumps do look incredibly good! We don’t have a tablet except a very old one now, so apps pass us by 😀
Minion top trumps has to go on my Christmas wish list, I think I love them more than my son does!
