Frankie & Benny New Kids and Junior Menu

14 May 2015 by Eileen

As a regular at Frankie & Benny’s, it is always great to try out a new menu to sample different dishes.   Our local F&B is just 5 minutes away and my children always love to eat there. Last week, we were fortunate to get invited to attend Mummy Bloggers Networking lunch hosted at The Fort Shopping Park F&B to review their new Kids and Junior Menu.

On their Kids and Junior Menu, they have a wide range of tasty dishes catering for all age ranges of children, including favourites such as Pizza, Fish Fingers and Sausage and Mash. All the meals include veggies, side salad or baked beans. Ms C chose the Sausage and Mash with veggies from the Kids selection (for smaller appetites) while Mr K went for the Spaghetti Bolognese from the Junior selection (for bigger appetites).

While we waiting for their food, they both were given an activity pack each to keep them entertained. It is nice that they always update their activity packs with different theme and games such as puzzles and board games. This time around, I noticed that they have swapped the usual all-in-one coloured pencil into smaller individual coloured pencils. Mr K was slightly disappointed that it didn’t come with a board game this time. Mr K has always preferred to play team games rather than playing on his own. As mentioned, F&B always update the pack, so it is not always easy to please everyone.

The food served very quickly considering it was quite busy too. Ms C’s sausage and mash was quite a big portion considering it was from the Kids selection. The food was very well cooked and presented. Mr K was very satisfied with his choice especially as it comes with his favourite garlic breads. They finished their meals in no time while we had our starters and main course from the Specials Menu.

While the children enjoyed the new F&B menu, the highlight was definitely the dessert! Both children saw the ice cream Candy Shop photo and it was an easy decision!

This Candy Shop comes with two scoops of ice cream plus six different types of toppings: marshmallow, chocolate sauce, smarties, candies, mini chocolate and fizz pop. It only costs £1.95 each! What a great bargain! Both children were ecstatic and the grown-ups were quite envious too! This candy shop is like a dream! After garnishing their ice cream with their preferred toppings, they finished their dessert so quickly that we didn’t even have a chance to lick from their bowl! It also comes with a handy paper sweets bag for you to bring back any extra toppings! Their desserts were a great way to end a delicious meal.

We all had an enjoyable lunch and we would definitely go back again. Do check out their new Kids and Junior Menu. Also don’t forget to download their app which allows kids eat free on Fridays!

Disclosure: We were invited to try out their meal for the purposes of writing this review, however, all thoughts and opinions remain our own.

The Candy Shop dessert looks amazing, although all the other food looks pretty good too! We’ve got one only 5 mins away too but haven’t been for a while – perhaps it’s time to check it out!

we like F&B as they have one at our local cinema complex. Its great to see they have changed their kids menu as I like it when you can choose which size you want, and as for the ice cream that looks great fun!
