My Paint Kit Studio Experience
After browsing through their website, I was genuinely impressed by the huge selection of artwork available. It wasn’t easy choosing just one design, but I eventually settled on the beautiful Buddha Meditation framed kit with 36 colours.
The finished artwork measures 40cm x 50cm and arrives already mounted in a wooden frame, making it ready to hang once completed. If you prefer, you can also choose a frameless version. I was immediately drawn to the peaceful image of the Buddha surrounded by vibrant lotus flowers, creating a wonderfully calming scene.
The kit includes:
- A high-quality pre-framed canvas
- 36 numbered acrylic paint pots (with number stickers included)
- A set of three paintbrushes
- Colour guide
- A3 reference sheet
- Hanging hardware
Everything was securely packaged in a sturdy box with protective bubble wrap, and my order arrived in the UK in around two weeks.
Painting the Canvas
Having the canvas already framed made a huge difference. It was much easier to rotate while painting compared with working on a loose canvas. I also liked that stickers were included for labelling the paint pots, making everything easy to organise.
I won’t pretend this design was easy! There are countless tiny details, particularly within the lotus flowers and leaves, with lots of subtle colour variations. Because of the intricate design, it took me around five days to complete.
The most challenging part was painting the very small dots and fine lines around the Buddha and flowers. Occasionally I accidentally painted over the printed numbers before checking them. Good lighting definitely helps, and the included A3 reference sheet is extremely useful for double-checking the numbers.
That said, I did find some of the numbers on the reference sheet a little too small to read clearly. In a few places I simply trusted my artistic instincts and chose the colour that looked right.
Despite the challenge, it was incredibly satisfying watching the artwork gradually come to life. Every painting session revealed more detail, and by the time I finished, I was absolutely delighted with the final result.
Final Thoughts
I thoroughly enjoyed this paint-by-numbers kit. Everything you need is included in the box—all you need to add is a cup of water and some kitchen paper or towels.
