Why We Love It
We have been using the WELOCK fingerprint door lock cylinder for some time, and this keypad version is just as handy – especially for my two teenagers.

Five Ways to Unlock
The WELOCK PCB51 offers five unlocking options:
- WELOCK app
- Keypad

At the moment, I’m using four of these, as I don’t yet have the WiFiBox3 for Alexa integration.
What is in the Box?
Inside the well-packaged box, you will find everything you need:
- Lock cylinder
- 3 RFID cards
- Lock cylinder extension with screw
- Phillips screwdriver & Allen key
- Thimble (for reset)
- 2 silicone green plugs
- 2 front handling screws
- 2 fixing screws for the battery cover
Battery & Setup
The lock requires three AAA batteries (not included). I first tried fully rechargeable batteries, but they only showed half capacity. Switching to disposable batteries solved the issue and showed full charge.
Installing the batteries is straightforward:
- Remove the metal casing with the Allen key.
- Slide off the lid and lift the silicone cover.
- Insert batteries into the compartment.
- Secure the cover tightly with the fixing screw (important, or the lid won’t close properly).
There is also a reset button (use the thimble to reset if needed) and USB port for emergency power. If the batteries die, you can plug in a power bank to unlock the door – note this only powers the lock temporarily, it does not charge it.
App Setup
The WELOCK app (iOS/Android) is easy to use. After downloading, I:
- Registered/logged into my account
- Scanned the QR code on the silicone cover
- Entered the product ID (found on the cylinder or box) to bind the product to my app
- Synced the lock with the correct date and time
From there, I registered up to 9 user passcodes, 1 admin passcode, and all 3 RFID cards.
Installation
The lock fits doors 30–70 mm thick, or up to 100 mm with the included extension. My door required an extension on both the front handle (20 mm) and back knob (30 mm).
Installation took less than 10 minutes:
- Remove the old lock
- Insert the new cylinder (without the back knob)
- Secure with the long screw from the original lock
- Attach the back knob
I filmed the whole process in my YouTube video, including a demo of locking/unlocking. Note: To lock or unlock, you need to engage the knob or keypad – if you don’t, it won’t fully lock.

Final Thoughts
