Another month, another jigsaw puzzle completed. Whenever I have spare time, I like to keep myself busy with my hobby! Piecing jigsaw puzzles together! Recently, my friend, who is selling her house, has been clearing items and gifted me two of her puzzles. Both puzzles were at least 15 years old! The quality was okay. One thing I love about jigsaw puzzles is that they are evergreen items. It doesn’t matter if it’s 10 years or 20 years time, the puzzle will still be in good condition if it’s stored properly.
Anyway, one of the puzzles is a 1000 piece puzzle called Christmas Past, licensed by MGL 2012. It’s a shame that there is a piece missing. Hence it looks incomplete. My friend didn’t manage to find the last piece. It measures 68.5 cm by 49 cm. The quality of this puzzle is very poor. It is made with very thin cardboard and the image is quite blurry. I would not recommend this brand.
Next, I did this 1000 piece circular jigsaw puzzle, Dogtastic by Otter House. This was the first time I came across an Otter House puzzle. So I googled them and realised that they still exist. The quality of the puzzle is good.
It is also my first time doing a circular-shaped puzzle and I did find it quite hard to piece the border first. Normally, I like to start with finding the border and piecing that first. Then I will either group them in colours or the characters (person or things). I will do white or black at a later stage. For this puzzle, I keep having to work my way from the centre to the side. This puzzle took me four days to complete as I had little motivation after not being able to join the puzzle. There were so many holes before I could join them together. Once complete, it measures 60 cm by 60 cm. I can’t wait to start my next puzzle soon!
