Elegear Cooling Blanket Review

20 March 2023 by Eileen

It has been a tough Winter but Spring has finally arrived. Now it is time to ditch the thick duvet and welcome the cooling blanket! This Elegear cooling blanket has come just in time for this season. This cleverly reversible design blanket is made with two different kinds of materials for all seasons. On one side, it is made from 100% cotton for spring and autumn use which keeps you warm and cosy, while the other side is made of Japanese cooling fibre to stay cool on our hot summer nights.

Elegear Cooling Blanket review

When I unpacked the box, the blanket was wrapped in a plastic bag. They come in three different sizes: Single (130 x 170cm), Queen (150 x 200cm) and King (200 x 220cm). I have received the king size blanket which is big enough for two people to share as you can see in this photo. We have a king size bed and the blanket has overflowed the bed. Also, it is so lightweight, you can pack it away for camping and other uses.

The one I received is in a grey colour. It also comes in beige, blue, green and pink options. I love this grey colour. It looks very modern, sleek and stylish, and matches other items and furnishings we have in our home. This blanket/throw is suitable for all corners of the room.

As I mentioned above, the material on one side is cotton, whilst the other side is Japanese cooling fibre – it is an advanced Arc-Chill Q-Max 0.43 cooling fibre that absorbs body heat and reduces skin temperature by 2 to 5 degrees. This thin cool touch blanket is also anti-static, anti-mite and anti-bacterial. The amount of static shocks I get using fleece material clothing/blankets or wearing rubber shoes is no joke so I’m delighted to avoid that with this blanket! What a win!

The stitching on the blanket is brilliant and it is very nicely finished all around. There is not a loose thread in sight, no lumpiness and no hard edges at all. The blanket is made to a high standard. It is soft to the touch, very breathable and consistently feels cooling. As it is soft to touch, the blanket is quite slippery on one side, with a light kick, the blanket will fall off the bed or me very easily.

It is machine washable up to 30 degrees and should be hung in the shade to dry. It is not suitable for ironing, tumble drying, bleaching or dry cleaning.

I have tried it for just under a week and I can feel the benefits right from the start. It is always cool to touch, very comfortable and cosy to sleep in. I have enjoyed using the blanket, especially as I can get hot and sweaty at night. It could be a sign of myself having menopause symptoms, maybe. I think this blanket is of great use for hot sleepers or those that suffer from night sweats. It is available to buy from their website and Amazon. Now you can save 10% by using this discount code ZCKVDEHO. The code will expire on 31st December 2023.
